BiographyAt the age of 15, Jennette McCurdy has an acting resume that many adult actors would be envious of. Over the last 7 plus years, Jennette has delivered some phenomenal performances in a variety of roles. Inspired to become an actress after watching Harrison Ford in Star Wars, her first acting experience on television came in 2000 when she appeared in an episode of Mad TV, allowing her the chance to display her comedic skills. She followed up in 2001 by appearing in the film Shadow Fury. In 2002, Jennette showed her outstanding ability for more dramtic appearances when she appeared in an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and the film My Daughter's Tears Jennette also appeared in the film Hollywood Homicide in that year. In 2003, Jennette had an appearance on Karen Sisco and Malcolm in the Middle before following up with performances in the films Breaking Dawn and Tiger Cruise. It was later in the year of 2004 that Jennette was really able to show her incredible acting abilities when she appeared in an episode of Strong Medicine as a young girl with Bi-polar disorder. Jennette recieved a Young Artist Award nomination for her performance in the episode. Following her fantastic performance on Strong Medicine, in 2005 Jennette delivered more amazing performances on shows such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Medium, and Judging Amy. She also appeared in the television drama series Over There, and the film See Anthony Run, as well as having the chance to put her comedic skills backs in action for appearances on Malcolm in the Middle and Zoey 101. In 2006, Jennette had appearances in the TV movie Against Type, as well as an appearance in an episode of the popular Will & Grace. At the start of 2007, she was seen in 3 episodes of Lincoln Heights and in the popular teleivison movie, The Last Day of Summer. Jennette currently has a film in the works, Proving Ground: From the Adventures of Captain Redlocks, in which she is one of the lead charcters; but her biggest project at the moment, is the new Nickelodeon channel show, iCarly in which she plays the lead role of Sam Puckett, the best friend of the title character Carly. The show is a massive hit and is currently filming its second series and a movie. Jennette recently completed a film called Minor Details in which she plays the role of a mean rich girl, and is currently working on a music album! In her free time, Jennette enjoys many other activities such as dance, karate, ice skating, piano, cooking, reading, writing and watching movies. She is also skilled in roller blading, skateboarding, sining, baseball, basketball and trampoline. In fact, she will pretty much have a go at anything! Jennette has three older brothers, Marcus, Dustin and Scott as well as three dogs (Snoopy, Chewie and Musashi), and two turles (Tootsen and Zeus). Jennette also enjoys writing poetry and screenplays, and hopes to eventually graduate from film school and start turning them into movies. |
